We wake up in the morning, get dressed, and then head for work. Work, the inevitable place we must all go, in order to make money. Work, something we have to do, in order to survive. Work, our destination for this weeks Take me away Tuesday post. In today’s post, we will advise our readers on what is appropriate and acceptable in the workplace. There will always be exceptions to the rules, but with fashion, some rules are meant to be broken.

Our first suggestion as to what is acceptable in the workplace is no excessively tight clothing. We want our readers to be in well fitted clothes, bowser there is a thin line between tasteful and distasteful fashion. If you would like to wear a fitted outfit, we would suggest wearing a sheath dress. A sheath dress is primarily meant for the office. A sheath dress is also fitted at the waist to accentuate a womans figure. With the waist being nicely fitted, and then the remainder of the skirt beig fitted through the hips with a nice streamline, the wearer doesn’t draw unnecessary attention to herself.

Our second suggestion is to wear a pair of nicely fitted pants. Fitted pants allow a woman to stand tall with confidence. Slacks are also an acceptable item for a person to wear because they are extrmely versatile as well as comfortable. Slacks can be paired with a pair of heels or flats depending on your mood for the day, or the amount of activities expected from you.

Since we’ve mentioned a couple of items that are appropriate for the workplace, it’s only right that we mention those that are not. First thing on our list is sweatsuits or loungewear. Those items are active pieces that can also be use for relaxaton. If you wear loungewear to work, there is a huge possibility that your boss will not be impressed with your attire. Wearing the wrong thing to work can be portrayed as not caring about your job. Despite what the actual case may be, perception is reality. The way people perceive you, is what they will always remember you as.

Another suggestion as to what is inappropriate to wear to work is ripped or torn clothing. If you come to work sloppy, people will begin to believe that your work isn’t as great as it could be. ┬áRipped or torn clothing is only acceptable if you work in a creative enviornment, and even then it may be tricky. A suggestion as to how distressed clothes can be worn is by pairing some jeans with a blazer. The blazer will help dress up your casual look.

Follow the suggestions above and you’ll know exactly what to wear to work.
